History

In 1950, Hubert Natalis a great enthusiast for printing and binding machinery, started repairing and selling second-hand machines, with increasing success, in Belgium and Luxembourg to start with, and then in the surrounding countries like France, Germany, the Netherlands, and through many contacts in the Maghreb.

The workshop in RueVivegnis in Liège became too small and Ets Natalis soon moved to larger premises, with a large storage warehouse in Saint-Nicolas, still close to Liège, in Rue de la Houillère.

In the 80s, Charles and Jean Natalis successively joined their father to help him in the business and in their turn, devoted themselves to the repair and sale of second-hand machinery and equipment for printing and for the graphics industry in general.

Charles Natalis mainly took care of the sales and administrative side of the business (his assistant, Anne-Marie Nechat, joined the team at the beginning of 1990 to help him in this task), visits to printers, purchases and sales, and Jean Natalis became the technical engineer responsible for the workshop, and the reconditioning and repair of machines.

In june 1991, Charles and Jean Natalis officially took over and set up a private limited liability company, ETS NATALIS SPRL, which continued to develop, retaining the form and spirit of a family business but with all the advantages provided by the latest technology.

The arrival of the Internet, the growing importance of email and the creation of a website multiplied the opportunities and increased the company's contacts throughout the world. Customers are national and international, from small manual printers or binders to large-scale printing or publishing groups, via all our reseller colleagues in all countries.

In 2001 the team became larger and the company left the Saint-Nicolas premises which had become rather dilapidated. It moved a stone's throw away, into completely new buildings in the Bonne-Fortune industrial park in Grâce-Hollogne, alongside the motorway for ease of access.

These new premises gave it a functional and modern office area, a large storage area for the machines, a reconditioning workshop, a cleaning workshop, a bright and friendly show-room, a huge car park and a loading bay, as well as all the equipment needed for handling and loading.

Since November 2016, following a change of name, the company is now simply named NATALIS SPRL.
